Now we have Halloween out of the way it's full steam ahead to Christmas. Without a doubt this is our busiest time of year, it is also our most exciting!

When it comes to gifting we have a wealth of beautiful and timeless wooden toys on offer. Not just aesthetically appealing for parents, (as a parent myself I know just how important this is, we want our children's toys to look nice within the home) but also super-fun, imaginative and educational for our children. This year we have introduced some really wonderful unique new brands, too. It is important that we continue to strive as a boutique online destination offering you guys, our customers, something a little more than what you might find on the high street. We are always on the look out for new brands that you cannot find elsewhere. Brands that also respect our environment and offer longevity.

This brings up to one of our biggest new buys for Christmas 2019. Introducing Tender Leaf Toys. Not yet as widely know as the likes of Le Toy Van, but arguably right up there when it come to quality and design. Most significantly Tender Leaf Toys pride themselves in offering a sustainable and ethical product for our children and future generations to enjoy. All products are made with sustainable rubber wood forests at the heart. Cutting, drying and painting of all toys is undertaken in the same factory where an ICTI seal of approval has been awarded. Ethically high standards are maintained throughout. For us Tender Leaf toys is a most welcome new addition, and we hope you will agree. Still a relatively new brand to the market with a smaller collection, yet still featuring all the favourites. Think wooden garages, play kitchens, kitchen accessories, play foods and some really wonderful and unique educational toys as well, for babies right through to KS1/2. Some of my personal favourites include the ouch puzzle, wooden garden blocks, rainbow birthday cake and garden wheelbarrow set. Oh, and Dovetail House. Not sure there is a more beautiful wooden dolls house out there, and wait until you see all the beautiful furniture sets as part on this range! All three of our new wooden dolls houses are also completely gender neutral, which is another quality of this brand that we really adore. A wooden dolls house is definitely one of my top recommended toys, I believe both boys and girls should own one!

Other new brands that have excitingly grown for us this year include Plan Toys and Bigjigs. We have always had a very small and curated collection of each, but this Christmas our offering has more than doubled, in response to some really great new designs. The Plan Toys wooden dolls feeding set as one example - it's super cute and the perfect toy for children than love doll-based play! The motor mechanic is another new addition that we just have to mention. It has already sold out on pre-order and we too now only have a couple available.

This Christmas we have also developed our range of stocking fillers and smaller gifts, as well as some adorable new Christmas advent calendars. It can be really annoying having to purchase lots of little things from different websites, and you often have to pay multiple delivery charges too. This way you can now get everything in one place! You really don't need to stuff your child's stocking with lots of pointless gifts either. (When it comes to our ethos less is most definitely more.) Children only need one or two special things that will be enjoyed long after the big day, rather than just being ripped open and forgotten about. Our new range of wooden bath toys would make perfect stocking fillers. As would one of our small packs of wooden cars. There's also games, puzzles, art sets, tooth mice and the cutest wooden piggy bank. On top of all of this we have an adorable new collection of hair bows and accessories from Meri Meri and Mimi and Lula. (I am a mother of two girls so I know you can never have too many!)
