Cottage Toys aim to provide superior customer service. Your satisfaction is extremely important. If your questions are not answered in the following section, please contact us and we will be happy to assist with any questions you may have.

Who and what is Cardsave?

We have selected Cardsave to be our payment processing merchant. Once you have chosen all the items you would like to purchase you will be re-directed to Cardsave who are a PCI level 1 compliant payment gateway and part of the WorldPay / Streamline group. Cardsave will then collect your card details via their 100% secure payment page which uses the latest PCI compliant data encryption technology to protect all of your details.

Do you ship internationally?

We are more than happy to ship internationally however costs do vary.

As part of the overseas order process an estimated shipping charge will be calculated. This estimate will be based purely on the intended destination of your parcel. Once we have received your order we will immediately email you to advise the final shipping cost and to confirm that you would still like to proceed with the order. The final shipping charge will be based on the weight, size, and intended destination of your parcel. Please note that when completing your order online a pre-authorised amount will be recorded against your credit card or bankcard, however no monies will be deducted from your account until you have agreed to the final cost.

As a general rule an airfreight service is used with a target delivery time of 7 days in Europe, 7-10 days to North America and 14 days elsewhere. You will not be charged until we have received confirmation from you to proceed.

Please also note that all taxes or duties associated with any overseas order are the responsibility of the recipient, and as is customary, returns are at the buyers' expense.

What payment methods do your accept?

CREDIT CARD: We accept most major credit cards via our 100% secure online payment gateway which is encrypted to protect your details. All card details are processed via our chosen payment merchant called Cardsave. Cardsave are a PCI level 1 compliant payment gateway who use the latest data encryption technology to secure all detail provided to them.

PHONE ORDERS: To place a phone order simply call us on 01394 794365. For international orders please call us on +44 1394 794365.

CHEQUE: Alternatively you may like to pay by cheque. Simply request a manual order form via phone or email. The cheque must be made payable to Cottage Toys and sent to our head office along with the completed manual order form. Please note that if payment is made via cheque all goods will only be dispatched once the funds have cleared so extended delivery times may apply.

How long will my order take to arrive?

We aim to dispatch your order the same day it is received at our office (if before noon), or first thing the next working day. Each order should take 3 - 5 working days to reach its destination in mainland UK. If you have chosen the next day delivery service your order should arrive the next day provided that you placed your order before 12 noon (excludes weekends & public holidays). For international orders please see guidelines below:

  • Europe - approximately 7 working days.
  • North America - approximately 7-10 working days.
  • All other destinations up to 14 working days.

If you have an urgent order that needs to be received inside the normal shipping times we are more than happy to help. Please just contact us (additional costs may apply).

Has my order been shipped yet?

Please contact us and we will happily update you on the progress of your order.

Can I have my order gift-wrapped?

We are more than happy to send your order as a gift and can include a free gift card on your behalf if required. Please just contact us once your order has been placed so that we can record your greeting message. We also provide gift-wrapping for select items. Please just add the 'gift-wrapped' product when creating your order. This can be found under the related products at the bottom of each page.

The cost for gift-wrapping is £5.50 for each item, and larger items can not always be gift wrapped due to size restrictions. On occasions where we determine that your order can not be gift wrapped we will immediately contact you and refund any gift-wrapping costs associated with your order.

What is your returns policy?

Our expectation is that you will love the toys and gifts purchased from Cottage Toys.

However, if you are not completely satisfied with your order you may return it to us and you will receive a full refund, minus delivery costs. Please note that this only applies to the first 14 days following receipt of the product and it must be returned in an unused and re-saleable condition (inclusive of its original packaging).

We require that you to advise us of any returns prior to the products being mailed back and we will only issue a refund upon receipt of the item(s).

Please note that all taxes or duties associated with any order are the responsibility of the recipient and returns are at the buyer's expense.

What happens if my order has been damaged in transit?

In the unlikely event that your order has been delivered in a damaged condition we will either replace the broken component or, if this is not possible the complete product will be replaced.

The delivery address I gave was Incorrect. What does this mean?

If you have entered an incorrect delivery address, simply contact us and advise us of the correct address so that we can amend your order. If your order has already been dispatched we unfortunately cannot change the shipping address. If an incorrect delivery address is provided (and has not been amended before dispatch) or a parcel is returned to us as undeliverable, charges will apply to send the order again.

How do you select your products?

All of our products have been carefully selected because they are stylish, unique, long lasting and are made from the highest quality materials. We only stock items from labels that offer fair trade and ethically manufactured products.

What is your privacy policy?

Your privacy is of paramount importance to us. Any information collected by Cottage Toys during the placement of your order will only ever be used to process and complete that order. The sharing of any personal information will be strictly limited to third parties (or partners) that are deemed integral to the completion of your order. For example, we may need to supply your residential address to a courier so that they can deliver your gift to that location. Furthermore, any information that you provide to us will be security stored and password protected at all times. Please also note that when you purchase items online through this website your personal details will be securely collected through 128-bit SSL encryption. Your card details will then be processed through our chosen payment merchant which is Cardsave.

If you choose to participate in interactive activities via Cottage Toys (such as newsletter subscriptions, competitions, online purchases, surveys, social media forums) please be aware that you may be asked to provide information about yourself. On occasion, this information may be used to communicate promotional offers or related information about Cottage Toys. In addition to this we may also choose to use information gathered about you to help us better design marketing messages that get distributed to our customers and associates.
